Saffron Flat Bread
Medium-Easy | Serves 4
Ingredients
- 2 Generous pinches of Saffron Strands
- 100 ml of hot water
- 250 g Plain flour, extra for dusting
- 3 Tbsp Olive oil
- Sea Salt
- Freshly ground pepper
Steps
- Grind Saffron in fine powder with mortar and pestle. Soak in 100 ml of hot water for 10 minutes
- Mix flour and olive oil in mixing bowl. Add pinch of salt and pepper
- Add in steeped Saffron and its water and mix thoroughly
- Divide dough to 4 pieces. Roll out each piece on a floured surface to a round of 2 - 3 mm thickness
- On a large skillet over medium heat, spray non-stick oil. Place each piece of rolled dough to cook for 1 - 2 minutes until golden
- Serve warm with Ujong Saffron Kaya and Cheese
